The family we know from China gave me a beautiful vase with flowers. She made the Lego flowers and made origami stars in the vase.
Her sweet boy continues to be in the hospital fighting cancer. It is hard to see him so weak. Thankfully, he was having a better day today when I visited. He told me it makes him happy when I visit. Love him and his sweet mother.
I tried using Google translate app in conversation mode allowing me to have a short visit with his mom today. It isn’t perfect, but it is worth trying again. Our words sometimes get mixed up a bit, but it is the start of being able to communicate together.

Thanks. Our time zones are so different for when I can be at the hospital and the wifi is poor. They have helped by sending me a message in Chinese that I could share.
The child does pretty good at interpreting, with his limited English, but I wanted to talk to his mom alone. She knew how to use the app when I showed it to her. It would take a lot of practice to make it work better.
