I was lucky enough to get the 1st COVID shot yesterday and my husband got his shot last week. With my husband having cancer, we have really worried about all the exposure I’ve had to COVID where I teach. One step closer to having more freedom. I feel like the entire country has been under house arrest!

Of course being in line that long, I got to know that lady in front of me. She said she lost her father 2 years ago and mentioned how grateful she was to be able to be by his side and how difficult it would be right now. I can’t imagine if Robbie and I had been separated. I am pretty sure, they would have had to drag me away from him.
I hope everyone is well and is able to get the shot when/if you want it.
Grateful to hear you’ve both gotten your first vaccine. Hope any side effects you have are minimal. And, hope they gave you an appointment for your second dose. My husband and I were both able to get vaccinated early on, because all of Molly’s hospitals offered the vaccines to volunteers, so we went to the one where my husband volunteers, too. Whew! It is a relief. We only had sore arms afterward.

Glad you were able to get shots too. They set up our next appointments too. So thankful!
