When I couldn’t sleep this week, I wrote my first poem. It was a way to express my grief. I miss him so much. ❤
Background on the meaning behind the poem:
Robbie was on the autism spectrum, which at the time was considered Aspergers. He was late to talk due to multiple ear infections. Before he was able to talk well, he was very fussy and used to bang his head on everything. By age three, he had stopped doing that and started showing signs of understanding math. He was obsessed with numbers and math. He was like a walking calculator. His math skills continued to grow and he majored in math and computer science in college. He scored a perfect score on the math section of the ACT test. Google was actively trying to hire him up until he passed away. Robbie fought bone cancer for almost 4 years before passing away on 2/12/19. He asked me to write his story before he died, which I haven’t had the heart to do yet, but this short poem is my start. ❤️

Gone so young… lovely poem. Hugs and love ❤️
