On Tuesday, February 12, 2019, Robert “Robbie”James Mudroch, passed away from bone cancer at age 25.
Robbie was born on June 23,1993 In Westerville, OH to Jim and Cindy (Graves) Mudroch. He attended high school at OSSM Oklahoma School of Science and Math. In December 2015, he graduated from the University of Tulsa with a double major in mathematics and computer science.
In 2018, Robbie was offered his “dream job” with Google, but cancer kept him from accepting. He had a love for outdoor photography, liked to write music, enjoyed programming, playing computer games, chatting online with friends, and he loved sloths! He enjoyed going to the Butterfly Center and visiting Curly the sloth at the Houston zoo.
Robbie was known for his quick wit, funny jokes, infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit.
Robbie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arnold and Margaret (Riechers) Graves of Platteville, WI and John and Peg (Cook) Mudroch of Fredonia, WI as well as his uncle, Bruce Larson, and cousin, Jonathon Mudroch.
He is survived by his parents, Jim and Cindy Mudroch of Katy, TX, his sisters, Ruth (Nick) Holland and Lynn Mudroch of Tulsa, OK; step grandma Marion Mudroch and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Friends and family are welcome to attend Robbie’s Celebration of Life anytime from 5 to 8pm on Monday, February 18th at Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Blvd., Katy TX. He will be buried in June at the Hillside Cemetery in Platteville, WI near his grandparents.
Robbie liked bright colors and sloths, so feel free to dress with bright colors.
Donations can be given in Robbie’s name to the National Marfan Foundation, The Houston Zoo Natural Encounters Sloth Exhibit, The Tulsa Zoo Sloth Exhibit, or to OSSM Oklahoma School of Science and Math.
