Robbie made great progress in the last couple weeks and was just starting to walk with forearm crutches in PT. He will get there again, but for now, he needs to use his walker for the next month. If you missed the last couple posts, he has been having extreme pain in his right foot. Yesterday it was terrible even with pain meds. The X-ray shows that the bones in his right foot are very thin and have low calcium called osteopenia. This is from the surgery and lack of use. Robbie said he wishes Dr Lin would give him a titanium foot to match his leg.
A book my students like to have me read is: Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. It is also a good title for our day yesterday!!
His birthday is next week on the 23. He could use some cheering up if you have time to send a card.
